Frequently Ask Question

I do book weddings as far as a year  in advance. Due to the nature of my business, Saturdays are normally reserved for my brides and their parties. If you have a photoshoot or headshots that is non wedding related I do book those 2 weeks in advance. As your desired date gets closer; preferably 2 weeks prior, please contact me and if I have availability during that time I’d be glad to make you feel even more beautiful for your event. All wedding bookings require 30% of the total cost of services along with the signed bridal contract or special event contract.
Please submit your initial inquiry through our portal here. Once all the necessary information has been received we will be able to confirm availability and provide pricing. Once verbal confirmation is received we will then gather the information to draft the contract. Once the Contract and a 30 % deposit are received then the service will be confirmed and booked. The remaining balance will be due 7 business days before the event.

Cash, major credit cards, Venmo, and ACH payments are accepted.

Yes! It is possible for a fee. My bridal trial includes a full makeover with one desired hair and makeup look. Trials are done at studio located at 13151 Emily RD, Ste 210A Dallas Texas 75240.  These trials are not to be used for portrait sessions or special events. The trials allow the bride to get an idea how they will look like on their wedding day. After the trial, the bride has 2 days to make a final decision and to lock in their event dates with a deposit and signed contract. Kindly contact us to determine the next available date for a trial. You may also find more info on trials here: JTorry Blog

Yes, our studio  is located at 13151 Emily Rd Suite# 210A, Dallas, TX 75240.

I would recommend searching Pinterest, magazines, or search the web for pictures of different styles. We’ll discuss your attire, your theme and colors to get the best look for you.

Yes. Lashes are optional and are highly recommended to complete the fabulous makeover.

Stay hydrated.  Drink plenty of water every day before the wedding.  Hydration is important to keep your skin looking radiant.

Clothes – Please wear a button-up shirt or robe to keep your hair and makeup looking flawless when you are changing into your special event attire. Robes are great!

Face – Come with a clean face, free of makeup or mascara. It’s good to moisturize your face and lips.

Hair – Wash and blow dry your hair prior to the appointment the night before or the morning of the service. Please do not straighten wavy or curly hair with a flat iron only brush and blow dry your hair to remove the waves and coils.  There is an additional fee of $40 if you prefer that we blow dry your hair.  Depending on the hairstyle you want, shoulder length hair or thin hair may require extensions to get the needed length and/or volume. You can purchase hair extensions online at www.bellamihair.comjtorryhair.com or at Sally’s, at least 18 inches clip-in human hair.

We prep and prime your skin with high quality products to last you all day!

Yes, I do travel and provide makeup and hair services on location. Travel fees within the DFW area starts at $200. If you are getting ready at a hotel, artists will valet at the client’s expense. I am willing to travel out of state.  Travel expenses including hotel and airfare would need to be covered. Location of service for the day-of-event will be at the discretion of the client; however, there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs in order to complete the makeup applications. A “set- up” table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at the said location. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. We ask each Client that they  respect the time of the artist/stylist by refraining from using their cell phone or other distracting devices while receiving services. Otherwise services will not be provided.

I know how busy things can get during this time.  Delaying your appointment can potentially delay other scheduled appointments that we may have. There is a window allowed, but a fee of $25 will incur for every 15 minutes from the agreed start time.

Yes, I have an amazing team that exceeds all expectations. I do have an assistant fee and the price will be given with the quote. I’ll need to determine how many artists will be needed to ensure the day goes perfect for you.

Bridal hairstyling is just as important as makeup because both go together in making your entire look cohesive. Unfortunately, I don’t do bridal makeup only. I’m passionate about bringing your vision to life and I believe that only one artist can truly make your dream look into reality.

I typically use airbrush on brides because of the nice quality finish it gives. But if the bride prefers traditional makeup, I can also do that. I use Temptu, Nars, JTorryBeauty and Mac cosmetics, as well as several high quality brands that can do the job flawlessly.

Natural makeup looks actually take as much as time and effort as glam makeup looks. One coat of makeup will only give a cakey finish, so it takes sthe same set of techniques and layers of beauty products to get you the flawless, naturally glowing look.

I would love to be a part of your special weekend. Unfortunately, without a deposit or contract we cannot hold the desired date. Dates are increasingly unavailable, thus if you know you want JTorry to be a part of your special day – do not delay.
